SYSTEM INCLUDES: 3 – 1/4” CCD COLOR CAMERAS WITH METAL STAND AND 57 FT CABLE (3 cameras included w ith Model SC21CD5444UQ-A80) -3- 21” COLOR QUAD MONITOR WITH BUILT-IN DVR 80 GB HARD DISK DRIVE .
GETTING STARTED: Connect the AC Power Cord to the back of the monitor, and connect up to 4 cameras to the 6 Pin DIN or BNC Video inputs on the back of the monitor. Then turn the Ma in Power Swit ch to ON . Upon Powering Up, a message will appear “Please Check HDD Key Lock bef ore Turn ON”.
CONTROL - FRONT PANEL: 1. Removabl e Cartridge Ca s ing The built-in DVR come s with a remova bl e ha rd di sk d rive tray. 2. PIP / SEQ - th is button performs two functions: (1) PIP : Holding this button for 3 seconds trigger s the Picture -In-Pictu re display.
5. EVEN T - Pre ssing this button brings up a list of up to 1000 Events, including Power Loss and Alarms . You can scroll through Events using the and k eys , and navigate between Pages of Events using the and keys. Press Play / Enter to exit the Event list.
11. MICROP HON E 12. QUAD – Pres sing this button goes to Quad viewing mode . 13. CH1/C H2/CH3/CH4 - These buttons perfo rm the follow ing functions: a) Displa ys a picture in Full Sc reen. In Quad Screen mode: se lect a Channel button (1-4) and hold for 2-3 seconds in order to view that Camera in Full Screen.
MAIN MENU CONTROL : Enter the MENU sc reen by pressing the Menu button. Scroll through the 12 options by p ressing the UP and DOWN buttons. To enter a sub-menu, press the Enter butt on where the highlighted scroll bar is located. To exit the Main Menu, scroll down to the Exit option and press the Enter button.
2. SEQUENCE S E T - This submenu allows you to select how long you’d like each channel to appear on-screen before automat icall y swit ching to the next channel in Sequence mode. The Dwell Time is 0-59 seconds selectable for each of the 4 channels and for Quad mode.
(iii) SENSITIVITY : Select the level of the Motion Sensing’s sens itivity level by channel. Level 05 is the highest sensitivity, Le vel 01 is the least sensitive. Level 00 deactivates Motion Sensing. (iv) AREA : S elect the area of the screen where the Pixe l Motion Sensing feature will be active.
7. SYSTEM SET ( ll ) - This sub-menu allo ws you to configure va rious prefer ences on the system, rela ted to DVR settings. (i) HDD INFO DISP : Se ts the display setti n gs for in formation o n the HDD statu s.
(vi) HDD SLAV E : Select [Y] to enabl e t he syst em to check for a Slav e HDD upon st art up. Enabli ng HDD SLAVE allows you t o record t o and pl ay back from t he Slav e HDD (The HDD y ou connect to the IDE-SUB on the back of the monitor ). For more infor mation regarding how the Slave HDD backs up the Master HDD , please refer to page14.
11. MONITOR SET - This submenu allows you to adjus t the Picture settings of the mon itor. You can switch between Full or Quad screen view s while adjusting the monitor settings by pressing the and keys (i) CONTRAST : Changes the contrast of the picture.
-14- PLAYBACK OPTIONS Upon pressing the PLAY button, one of the Playback Search menu s will appear. These Playback menus are the same as the Search options desc ribed on page 13. Whicheve r Search option you last accessed will dictate which Playback menu that appears upon pressing PLAY.
PAN / TILT ZOOM: The monitor is equipped with a built-in Pan/Tilt Zoom featu re, which is only available when used in conjunction with a compatible Pan/Tilt Z oom Dome camera ( model SG7380). APPENDIX #1 – INSTALLING the HDD The HDD serves the same purp ose in a DV R as a video cassette does in a VCR. However, installing the HDD is a bit more complicated.
3. Connect the HDD into the Cartridge Casing Take the Hard Disk D rive and Connect the two cables from the back of the Cart ridge Casing to the HDD. The cables should be pushed in firml y, but not forcibl y. The 4 Pin connection is the DC Power cable, and the w ider cable is the standard Hard Drive IDE type connec tion.

APPENDIX #4 - RS232 Remote Protocol The RS232 / Alarm input allow s you to cont rol the DVR system from your PC. In order to achieve this, you will require an RS232 COM Port communication prog ram installed on y our PC.
