3 1. Introduction This Utility Progr am enables users to find 200 Mbps PLC-Ethernet B ridge devi ces on the Powerline network, measures data rate performance, ensur es privacy and performs diagnostics by setting user defined secure Powerli ne net works.
4 Figure 1: Installation Browser Snapshot 1.3. Run the Utility After installing the Utility Program, please run the Utility P rogram from the Start / All Programs or double-click the utility i con on the desktop. Figure 2 is the main tab screen o f the utility program.
5 2. How to u se There are four Tabs (Main, Privacy, Diagnostics, About) in th e Utility program layout. Each Tab will provide different functions. Sec. 2.1~2.4 ex plains each tab’s functions: 2.1. Main Tab The “Main” tab will list all th e 2 00Mbps PL C-Ethernet Bridge devices logically connected in current available Powerline networks.

9 2.2. Privacy Tab W hen r olling out of factory, every 200Mbp s PL C-Ethernet Bridge dev ice carries a default logical network name: “Hom e PlugAV” . T he “Privacy” ta b provides functions to manage this logical network name and create priv ate net work.
