The purpose of t his booklet is to pr ovide assembly, installation and operation information con cerning Model AUJ -S & AUH-S Commercial Vehicular Garage Do or Operators and relate d Accessory Products. NOTICE IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THIS INST RUCTION MANUAL BE READ AND UNDERSTOOD COM PLETELY BEFORE INSTALLATION OR OPERATION IS ATT EMPTED.
Before starting the installatio n of the operator , the door must be in good working condition and p roper ly counterbalanced. Inspec t the door and trac k for loose or missing hardware. T est the door manually for balance and ea se of oper ation. Lubricate door hinges and rollers.

4) Depress the limit nut retaining Plate (D) so it disengages from t he slots in the limit n uts. Turn the OPEN li mit n ut (E) on the shaft until it engages the Open Limit Switch (A). You will need to liste n for an audible click. Release the retaini ng plate and be sure that it engage s in slots of bo th limit nuts.

Understand all of the operating features of your door contr ol system at the time of its installation. Your installing dealer will demonstr ate them for you. NEVER let children operate or play with door controls. Keep the Remote Control (where provided) away from children.
Changing the Sw itch Selectable Opera tion Modes The following modes are selected b y setting the on -board dip switches, Figure 20 at right sho ws where the switches are located on the oper ator control boar d. For each Operational Mode, the switches are set to either ON or OFF ac cording to the table at right belo w.
Mid -Stop : Activation stops an op ening door; momentary con tact of open button at mid stop will restart d oor to full open position; if door is moving open, consta nt pressure on o pen button will bypass mid-stop . Auto Close Timer : N/ A TS Operation Open Button : Momentary activation; op en override of closi ng door.
The solenoid o perated brake may require occ asional adjustment. Adjustment i s necessary if doo r tends to drift downward after reachi ng the open limit. Follo w the instructions belo w and use Figure 14 as a guide. (1) Loosen shoe adj usting screw and bottom bracket arm of solenoid.
CLUTCH ADJUSTME NT The clutch serves to pr otect the do or, the electric operato r and other equipment from undue s tress or damage caused by starting forces and/or an obstructio n to the door. It should be set no tighter than is necessar y to smoothly and consiste ntly move the door throughout its full ra nge of travel.
OPERA T ION & ADJUSTME NT INSTRUCTI ONS 21.
Normally, very little maintenance is required. A mon thly visual inspection must be made for loose or missing hardware and for excessive slack in the V -Belt and j ackshaft chain. The clutc h must be tested perio dically and adjustments made if necessary (see page 20 ).
