4 Setup Prereq uisite s MarkNet int ernal print servers are sometimes called internal network a dapters or INAs. You m ay hav e purcha sed a printe r tha t has Et herne t, Toke n-Rin g or ot her network ports prein stalled. If not, yo u should ins tall a Ma rkNet™ internal prin t server now.
5 Look for the UAA (universally administered address) under the Network head ing on the setup page. The UAA is a 12-digit number. The left column shows the address in MSB form and the right column shows the address in canonical form. The UAA is preset at t he factory.
6 • If you don ’ t have DHCP , ther e are other methods you can use to man ual ly assign the addr ess, such as the printer operato r panel, static ARP and telnet, RARP and telnet, BOOTP , or MarkV ision or other Lexmark utility . Instructions for three of these methods follow .

9 Novell NetWare NDPS (Novell Distributed Pr int Ser vices) Some versions of the Drivers, MarkVision and Utilities C D contain the Lexmark NDP S IP Gateway.
10 AppleTalk MarkVis ion for Maci ntosh resides on the Drivers, MarkVis ion and Utili ties CD. The MarkNet print server w orks automatically wit h AppleTalk networks. Yo u simply connect the power and the network cables, and you ’ re up and running.
