11 The contr o l panel T ouch Contro l sensor fields The appliance is operated using T ouch Contr ol sensor fields. Functions ar e controlled b y touching sensor fields and confirmed by displa ys and acoustic signals. T ouch the sensor fields fr om above, without covering other sensor fields.
12 Residual heat indicator 1 Wa r n i n g ! Risk of burns from r esidual heat. After being switched off, the cooking zones need some time to cool dow n. Look at the residual heat indica- tor . 3 Residual heat can be used for melting and k eeping food warm.
13 Using the child safety de vice The child safety de vice prev ents unintentional use of the ap- pliance. Setting the child safety de vice Over riding the child safety de vice The child safety device can be released in this wa y for a sin- gle cooking session; it re mains activated afterwards.
14 Switching the po w er function on and off The pow er function make s additional pow er a v ailable to the front induction cooking zones, e.g. to bring a large vol- ume of water to the boil. The pow er function is activated for 8 minutes for the fr ont left cooking zone and for 5 minutes for the front right cook- ing zone.
15 Using the timer All cooking zones can u se each use one of the two timer functions at the same time. 3 If a cooking zone is switch ed off, the timer function set is also switched off. 3 If a heat setting is set on this cooking zone in addi- tion to a countdown timer , the cooking zone is switched off after the time set has elapsed.

17 Safety cut-out Cooking surface • If after switchi ng on the cooking surface, a heat setting is not set for a cookin g zone within appr ox. 10 seconds, the cooking surface automatically switches itself off. • If all cooking zones are switched off, the cooking surface automatically switches itself off after appr ox.
