SAFETY Your new Jackson Gril l barbeque is a safe, convenient appli ance when used and maintained properly. As with all gas-f ired appliances, certain safety precautions must be observed. Fail ure to follow these precautions may result in damage or injury.
4 C LEARANCES 1. The appliance must have a mi nimum horizontal clearance from sides and back of unit to adjacent ve rtical combustible construction bel ow and extending above the top of the unit 36 inches from sides and 36 inches from back of unit. 2.

6 O PERATION 1. Never connect your gas grill to an LP cylinder without the regulator provided, and never to an unregulated gas supply . The gas regulator supplied with the appliance must be used. 2. Always leak test the LP gas cylinder to regulator connection when connecting the LP gas cylinder to the appliance.
7 gas only. The hose and hose co uplings comply with CGA Standard CAN 1.83. No modifications or substituti ons should be attempted. 4. Protect the hose from dripping grease and do not a llow the h ose t o touc h any hot surfac e, including the bas e of the grill.
8 LEAK TEST 1. DO NOT USE OR PERMIT SOURCES OF IGNITION IN THE AREA WHILE DOING THE LEAK TEST. THIS INCLUDES SMOKING. 2. Leak testing should be done once per year or whenever the LP gas cylinder or any other gas system part is replaced, whichever is more frequent.
9 This will allow the orifices to disengage from the burner venturi. 6. Unscrew each gas valve and re-install new natural gas valve s and orifices. Use teflon tape or pipe dope when installing valves an d orifices.

11 LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS O PEN L ID ┌ Ensuring all burner controls are in the off position, slowly turn on the gas supply valve. ┐ M AIN B URNER L IGHTING R EAR B URNER L IGHTING Turn any main burner control to high position. Remove warming rack. Depress Igniter button and hold or light with a match.
12 TROUBLE SHOOTING P ROBLEM P OSSIBLE C AUSES S OLUTION Low heat or low flame when valve turned to high. For pr opane – imprope r lightin g procedure. Ensure lighting procedure i s followed carefully. All gas grill valves must be in t he off position when the tank valve is turned on.
