8 IBM ISDN PC Card:User’s Guide If you ar e r u nning the initial r elease of W indows 95 (W indows 95 retail or OEM) you must first upgrade it to W indows 95 SP1 by downloading the correspo nding Service Pack for your W i nd ows 95 version. The Service Pack 1 can be found at: http://microsoft.
4. Installing the device drivers in Windows 95 9 6. When the re moval has b een compl eted, cl ick the OK button and then confirm that you want to restart the computer . 7. After W indows has restarted, open the Control Panel again by clicking Start - > Settings -> Control Panel .

When the Add New Har dwar e W izard repo rts that it has finished copying the req ui red so ftw are fo r t he IB M In ternational ISDN PC Car d, click Finish .

The SPID entries ar e appli cable only in the United States of America and Canada. H owever , even if you ar e in the USA or Canada, SPID entries are not mandatory .

Installing remote access Before you install Re mo te Access Service, check the documentation for your notebook computer to see whethe r your sy stem has an integrated analog modem.

Although MSNs can be config ured in th e dri ver , it is strongly recommended tha t you enter MSN settings only in the applications that requir e them.

The DSL feature works anywher e in the world, provided that you ar e using a PPPoE- contro lle d DSL modem.
