• Place the hea ter on a firm, level, open surface free from obstructions and at least 3 ft. (0.9m) away from any combustible materials. DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as bedding or deep carpeting. Be sure the heater is not in a position where it may be tripped over by small children or pets.
• Use the Power knob to turn the heater on to Lo w ( ) (900W) or High ( ) (1500W) (Fig. 3). The power light will illuminate. This portable space heater includes an energy efficient setting which is the Low ( ) setting.
SAFETY FEA TURES This heater is equipped with several devices and features for added protection. • A high tempera ture safety device (Hi Limit) prevents overheating of the heater . • A back-up thermal circuit breaker . • A motor thermal fuse tha t will shut down the motor should it operate a t a higher than normal temperature.
We recommend that the heater be cleaned at least once a month and before off-season storage. • T urn the heater OFF and unplug it. Allow it to cool completely . • Use only a dr y cloth to c lean the external surfaces of the heater . DO NOT USE WA TER, WAX, POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
