Reading T echniques Near Distance Scanning Use the red lighting and center the bo x over the bar code when scanning at a near distance (less than 1 1.8 inches / 30 cm).

Lock ed Link If you link a scanner to a base us ing the Locked Link Mode, other scanners are blocked from being linked if they are inadverte ntly placed into the base . If you do place a different scanner into the base, it will charge the scan ner, but the scanner will no t be linked.
Aimer Delay Set the time between when the trigger is pulled, turning the laser aimer on, and when the picture is ta ken. During the delay time , the laser aimer appears so you can find the bar code. When the d elay is over the LEDs turn on and the sca nne r reads the bar code.
Suffix If you want a carriage return after the bar code, scan th e Add CR Suffix bar code. To add a tab after the bar code , scan the Add T ab Suffix bar code.
Function Code T r ansmit When this selection is enabled and function codes are contain ed within the scanned da ta, the sca nner transmits the function code to the terminal.
