1 1 Locate t he network cable connector (RJ-45 port) on t he cam era’s botto m panel. Connect an Ethernet cable to the port. Connect the other e nd of the cable to the netwo rk.
2 2 Locate the power input connector on t he camera’s bott om pa nel, and at tac h the extern al power supply. Then, plug the adap ter in to an availab le outle t. Please check to see that t he orange “R eady” LED loc ated ne xt to th e lens of the camera is lit to ensure t hat the camera is powered on.
1 Insert the Hawking Net-Vision TM HNC21 0 Install ation & Utilities CD into your CD-ROM Drive. When the main page loads, click on Quick Setup Wizard .
2 2 The Setup Wizard will search fo r similar camera s available on your local area network. A “sim ilar” camera will have t he same code of four l etters at the beginning of its serial number. This code is “HEMT” and can be found o n either the right or l eft panel of the box, or on t he label on the bott om of the cam era.
Each available ca mera will be displayed in th e camera list with its MAC ad dress, current default IP add ress, and m odel number. (NOTE: T he Setup Wiza rd m ay display an IP address for the cam era that is already consistent with your network [LAN] setting s, rather than the default one.
3 Next, the login username and password screen will appear. Please type i n the defa ult lo gin an d password a nd the n press “ OK ”. The default value s are: Login : admin Password: 1234 If you have alr eady set a user name and password, e nter t hem and press “ OK ”.
4 The Setup Wizard will try to determine your network settings. If a DHCP server i s present on your net work, the Wizard will obtain you r network settings and au tomatically configu re your n etwork camera to operate on you r LAN by returning network settings that are consisten t with your networ k.

5 To protect your cam era fro m unauthorized access and use, you will need to change the Admin Password , which is “1234” by def ault. The pas sword can have a m axim um of four charact ers. Confi rm the new password by typing i t again identically in th e “R ec onfirm” field.
6 The following status page will appe ar. It will display a summ ary of t he changes you have m ade to t he network camera’s settings. If all the settin gs are correct, click Next to continue.
7 The setup process has now been completed. Please br iefly revi ew t he t ext on t he pa ge befo re cli cki ng o n Reboot . After clicking Reboot , the Setup Wi zard will cl ose.
