Installation 8 309524L Mounting Heater W all Mounting Bracket 192585 (F IG . 3) 1. Use M8 bolts of appropriate length and loc kwasher (CC), not supplied, to mo unt brac ket. 2. Install two scre ws (6) and washers (5) into top 2 heater mounti ng posts (BB) until the y are about 1/8 in.
Installation 309524L 9 Car t Mounting (F IG . 5) 1. Place clamps (AA) around the car t vertical post (DD) and secure to the heat er mounting bars (ZZ) with M8 x 1.25 x 30 mm bolts (6) and loc kwasher (5). 2. Obser ve temperat ure ratin gs f o r the po wer cable to the terminal junction.
Installation 10 309524L Electrical Connections Requirements For All Installations 1. The volt age supply m ust agree with the maximum heater voltage and amperage. See Models , page 2. 2. Conductors used f or supply connection must be suitab le f or at least 221°F (10 5°C).
Installation 309524L 11 W all Mounted Wiring Mount a 2-pole , explos ion-proof electric s witch (H) near the heater . See F IG . 7. The s witch must meet the electri- cal codes f or your location. Also use the cor r ect cab le and plug. Car t Mounted Wiring Connect a plug that meets the electr ical codes for y o ur location.
Installation 12 309524L Determining Pr oper Fluid T emperature Use the low est temperature setting po ssible f or maxi- mum heater lif e. Use the char t in F IG . 9 to de termine the Under-Boil ® temperature. F IG . 9 also shows the eff ect of temperat ure on reducing viscosit y .
Installation 309524L 13 The char t in F IG . 10 shows the ef f e ct of tempe rature in reducing two fluids to a spra yab le viscosity , between 20 and 34 seconds using a No . 2 Zahn cup . Note that te mperature has more of an eff ect on hig h solid fluids th an on thin en amels.
Operation 14 309524L Operation Pressure Relief Pr ocedure F ollow Pressure Rel ief Pro cedure when y ou stop spra ying, and bef ore cleaning, checkin g, or ser vicing equipment. 1. Enga ge the gun s afe ty lock. 2. Sh ut off main power to the heater .
