Lift Instructions 6 332156B Lift Instructions 1. When lifting s prayer, balan ce weight ev enly across two straps/chains as shown. 2. Wrap each strap/chain securely around fra me where indicated on frame label as shown. 3. Be sure straps/chain s used for lifting are rate d to support weight of sprayer: 500 lbs (2 27 kg).
Pressure Relief Procedure 332156B 7 Pressure Relief Procedure Follow the Pressure Re lief Procedure whenever you see this symbol. 1. Set pump valve OFF. 2. Turn engine OFF. 3. Loosen Lock Ring. T urn pressure cont rol to lowest setting. Trigger gun into pail to relieve pressure.
Setup 8 332156B Setup 1. Connect appropriate Graco hig h-pressure hose to sprayer. Tigh ten securely. NOTE: Remove second gun port plug for multiple guns and repeat steps 1 - 4. 2. Connect other end of hose to gun and tighten fit- tings securely. 3. Remove ti p guard.
Startup 332156B 9 Startup 1. Place suction tube and drain tu be in grounded metal pail partially filled with flushing fluid. Attach ground wire to pail and to ground wire to earth ground. 2. Rotate handle coun ter-clockwise to open prime valve. 3. Loosen lock nu t and turn pressure control cou nter- clockwise to lowest pressure.
Startup 10 332156B 6. Set pump valve ON (hydra ulic motor is now active). 7. Increase pressure en ough to start hydraulic motor stroking and allow fluid to circulate for 15 seconds; turn pressure down. 8. Close prime valve by ro tating handle clockwise.
Startup 332156B 11 SwitchTip and Guard Assembly 1. Insert SwitchTip. Insert se at and OneSeal. NOTE: Before screwing tip and guard assembly on gun, perform Press ure Relief Procedure , pa ge 7, and be sure gun trigger sa fety is ON. 2. Screw assembly onto gun.
Spraying 12 332156B Spraying 1. Set pump valve ON. 2. Increase pressure en ough to start hydraulic motor stroking and allow fluid to circulate for 15 seconds; turn pressure down. 3. Turn spray gun trigger safety OFF. 4. Adjust pressu re to desired setting.
Cleanup 332156B 13 Cleanup 1. Perform Pressure Relief Procedure , page 7. 2. Remove guard an d SwitchTip. 3. GH933 units only: Unscrew bowl, remove filter. Assemble without filter. 4. Clean filter , guard an d SwitchTip in flushing fluid . 5. Remove siphon tube set from p aint and place in flushing fluid.
Cleanup 14 332156B 12. Raise siphon tube above flush ing fluid and run sprayer for 15 to 30 seconds to drai n fluid. 13. Turn pu mp valve OFF. Tu rn engine OFF .
Troubleshooti ng 332156B 15 Troubleshooting PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Gas engine pulls hard (will not star t). Hydraulic pressure is too hi gh. Turn hydraulic pressure knob counterclockwise to lowest setting. Gas engine does not start. Switch OFF, low oil, no gasoline, or dead battery.
