This manual provides information about resolu tions for troubles that you may have upon installing the software bundled with th e ScanSnap, and how to install and uninstall the software.

Select a software to uninstall. The following software must be uninstalled: - ScanSnap Manager - ScanSnap Organizer - CardMinder 3.
If you have installed the so ftware before 16 ■ Removing the installation information If the name of the software that you tried to uninstall still remains in the list in [Programs and Features] of the Control Panel, or if the soft ware cannot be uninstalled for some reason, you need to remove the installation information.
If you have installed the so ftware before 17 5. Select the software from which y ou want to remove the installation information. z ScanSnap Manager 1. Select [ScanSnap Manager] and click the [Remove] button. A confirmatio n message appears. 2. Click the [Yes] button.
If you have installed the so ftware before 18 z ScanSnap Organizer/CardMinder 1. Select [ScanSnap Organizer] or [Ca rdM inder], and click the [Remove] button. A confirmatio n message appears. 2. Click the [Yes] button. The installation information is removed, and the following me ssage appears.
If you have installed the so ftware before 19 8. Confirm that the installati on folder no longer exists. If the [ScanSnap] folder remains in t he following location, rena me the folder (e.g. [-Sc anSnap]). This folder can la ter be deleted once the installa tion is successfully completed.

If you have installed the so ftware before 23 ■ Installing one software at a time Install the software one by one in the following procedure. 1. Restart your computer. 2. Log on as a user with Ad ministrator privileges. 3. If an anti-virus software is running, disable the software temporarily.

When ScanSnap Manager does not operate normally 26 ■ Checking if ScanSnap Manager is operating normally 1. Turn the ScanSnap off then back on. Make sure to leave at least five seconds betw een turning the power ON/OFF. 2. If you are using a USB hub, connect the ScanSnap to the computer directly.

The [ScanSnap Support Tool] dialog box appears. 2. Click the [Recover] button, and proceed by following the instructions displayed on the screen.
When ScanSnap Manager does not operate normally 29 ■ Removing the ScanSnap's connection information The ScanSnap might have been co nnected to the co mputer before you installed the so ftware. In that case, you need to remove the connecti on information of the ScanSnap.

Installing in Windows 48 4. Click the button of the trial software you want to install. The setup dialog box of the trial software appears (e.g. [R ack2-Filer Setup]). 5. Click the [Install Product] button. Installation st arts. 6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Installing in Windows 49 ■ Adobe Acrobat Install Adobe Acrobat in the following procedure. 1. Insert the Adobe Acrobat DVD- ROM into the DVD-ROM drive. The [AutoPlay] dialog box appears. 2. Click on [Run AutoPlay.exe]. The [Setup] dialog box appears.

Installing in Mac OS 55 10. To accept the license agreement, click the [Agree] butto n. The [Standa rd Install on " disk name "] screen appears. 11. Click the [Install] button . An authentication window appear s. 12. Enter the user name and password for a user with Administrator privileges, and click the [OK] button.

Installing in Mac OS 58 4. To accept the license agreemen t, click the [Agree] button. A window to sta rt installing Evernote for Mac a ppears. 5. Drag the [Evernote] icon on to the [Applications] icon. Evernote for Mac is copied in to the [Applications] folder.
Installing in Mac OS 59 7. Remove the Setup DVD-ROM from the DVD-ROM drive. 8. Prepare for the linkage with Evernote. Start up Evernote a nd create a new Notebook. If the installation is not succe ssfully completed, refer to "Trouble s and Resolutions in Mac OS" (page 32) .
Installing in Mac OS 60 ■ Adobe Acrobat Install Adobe Acrobat in the following procedure. 1. Insert the Adobe Acrobat DVD- ROM into the DVD-ROM drive. The DVD-ROM is detected automatically and [Adobe Acro bat 9 Pro] window appears. 2. Drag the [Adobe Acroba t 9 Pro] icon onto th e [Applications] icon.

Open the [Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro] in the [Applications] folder. 3. Double-click the [Adobe Acrobat Pro] icon and follow th e instructions on the screen to continue with the installation.
