3 Required Environment • An FTP server for scan-to-file which directories can be reached as a local or shared drive. The directories used as targets must exist and be available for reading and writing. • Visioneer Visual Explorer 1.0 for Windows 95/98 installed.
4 Setting up Visual Explorer 1. Start Visual Explorer and select File/Add to Folder View... 2. For Add to Folder View select the folder where AXIS 700 stores the scanned images and Press OK. The Folder View will now include the new folder (a_smith on K:).
5 3. Visual Explorer will now automatically update the desktop when new items are put in the scanned folder (a_smith). Default time interval is 15 minutes. If faster automatic update of the desktop is wanted then select Edit/Preferences… Select SimpleSearch and select wanted update time.
6 Using Visual Explorer with AXIS 700 1. From the AXIS 700's control panel select the Visual Explorer destination and scan a document. 2. From Visual Explorer Folder View select the folder where the scanned images are stored. In this case, folder 'a_smith on K:'.
