4 Grounding Instructions (electric ignition models only) IMPORTANT: READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This appliance is equipped with a 3 prong grounding plug for your protection against shock hazard and should be plugged directly into a properly grounded receptacle.
5 Liquefied Petroleum (Propane) Gas Conversion Severe shock or damage to the cooktop may occur if the cooktop is not installed by a qualified installer or electrician. This appliance can be used with Natural Gas and Propane Gas. It is shipped from the factory for use with natural gas.
6 Setting Surface Controls V enturi (opened) Burner Models T o Adjust Low or "Simmer" Setting (some models) The burner flame, at low setting, can be adjusted if it is too high or too low; refer to the installation instruction for adjustment procedure.
7 Pans should have flat bottoms. Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bot- tom. There should be no gaps between the pan and ruler . Note: Always use a utensil for its intend- ed purpose.
