16 Pre Operation Leak T esting GENERAL INFORMA TION Although all gas connections on the grill are leak tested pr ior to shipment, a complete gas tightness check must be perf or med at the installation site due to possible shifting during shipment, installation or e xcessive pressure unknowingly being applied to the unit.
17 Lighting the Grill BEFORE LIGHTING Important! Before Lighting... Check the gas supply line f or cuts, wear or abrasion. Alwa ys keep your f ace and body as far a wa y from the gr ill as possible when lighting. GRILL B URNER LIGHTING Lighting the Grill with the Electronic Igniter 1.
18 Lighting the Grill MA TCH LIGHTING 1. If the b ur ner will not light after sev eral attempts then the bu r ner can be match lit. 2. If you ha ve already attempted to light the b ur ner with the igniter , allow 5 minutes f or any accumulated gas to dissipate.
19 Using the Grill GRILL LOCA TION Do not use the grill in garages, breeze wa ys, sheds or any enclosed areas or under o verhead combustib le constr uction. Nev er operate the grill in enclosed areas as this could lead to a carbon monoxide b uildup , which could result in injur y or death.
20 Care & Maintenance DRIP TRA Y The drip tra y located below the grill, inside the car t, should be cleaned per iodically to prev ent heavy b uildup of debris. NO TE: Allo w the drip tray to cool bef ore attempting to clean. Important: Do not leave the grill outside during inc lement weather unless it is covered (co ver sold separately).
