The F A T32 format ensures maximum interchangeability of the F reecom Hard Drive Pr o between dier ent computers.
7 GB 1 Installation of the F reecom software Chapter 1: Installation of the F reecom software (PC) Before y ou can use the Sync button on your F reecom Har d Drive Pr o, you need to install the F reecom Personal Media Suite software rst.
8 F reec om H ard Driv e Pro GB 1 3. Please read the license agr eement carefully . T o accept the license agr eement, conrm with "Y es" . Note: Click ing on "No" ends the installation. Selec t the target folder and progr am folder in the star t menu in which the F reecom Personal Media Suite symbol is to appear .
9 GB 1 Installation of the F reecom software 5. In the dialogue "Options" you can selec t whether to create a link to the F reecom P ersonal M edia Suite Sof tware on the desktop and whether the program should be star ted automatically when starting Windows .
1 0 F reec om H ard Driv e Pro GB 1 1.3 Installation of the F reecom Backup Soft ware 1. Inser t the Soft ware & Manual CD into y our CD drive. The F reecom star t menu opens. In case the sof tware does not open automatically , please click on "Star t.

In the last window , you ar e asked if y ou want to start F reecom Backup Software now . If you want to create a backup of your data right away , click on "Finish" .
1 2 F reec om H ard Driv e Pro GB 2 Chapter 2: Hardwar e Installation Before connec ting the cables make sure the Freec om Hard Drive Pr o is switched o (S ee Chapter 2.2). 1. Connect the inter face cable (USB or eSA T A) to the F reecom Hard Drive P ro.

23 GB 5 3. Star ting the synchronization manually a) Open the Freec om P ersonal Media Suite and click on the tab "F reecom SYNC" . b) S elect a SYNC folder if you ha ve not yet done so . c) Click on "Sync now!" to start the data synchronization.

25 GB 5 5.4.11 Handling deleted les Deleting les on either the primar y computer or the SYNC folder on the Fr eecom Hard Drive P ro results in a r ed X nex t to the le during the next synchronization. This indicates that the le has been deleted and that its counterpart will be deleted, too .
