2 -EN WARNING The exc lamation point within an equilateral triangle and "W ARNING" are intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating instructions. Failure to heed the instructions will result in severe injury or death. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE OR AL TER.
3 -EN Never Attempt the Following Do not grip or pull out the disc while it is being pulled back into the player by the automatic reloading mechanism. Do not attempt to insert a disc into the unit when the unit power is off. Inserting Discs Y our player accepts only one disc at a time for playback.
4 -EN Detaching the Fr ont Panel 1 Press the PWR (P ower) b utton for more than 3 seconds to turn off the power . 2 Press the (Release) button at lo wer left corner until the front panel pops out. 3 Grasp the left side of the front panel and pull it out.
5 -EN A udio Mute Function Activating this function will instantly lo wer the volume le vel b y 20 dB. 1 Press the MUTE button to activate the MUTE mode. The audio lev el will decrease by about 20 dB. Pressing the MUTE button again will bring the audio back to its pre vious lev el.
6 -EN Changing Displa y P attern of Audio Level (CDM-7857 onl y) 1 Press the INTLZ button for at least 3 seconds. 2 Press the Preset 1 button to turn the OLI ON.
7 -EN A utomatic Seek T uning 1 Press the SOURCE button until a r adio frequency appears in the displa y . 2 Press the BAND button repeatedly until the desired radio band is displa yed. Each press changes the band: → F1 → F2 → AM 3 Press the TUNE button to illuminate the DX and SEEK indicators in the displa y .
8 -EN Manual Storing of Station Presets 1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory . 2 Press and hold any one of the Preset b uttons (1 through 6) for at least 2 seconds until the station frequency on the display blinks.
9 -EN Storing into Direct Access Preset (D .A.P .) Band A combination of radio stations in an y band (up to 6 stations) can be manually preset into the D .A.P . band. 1 Press and hold the D .A.P . button f or more than 2 seconds until the D .A.P . indicator appears.
10 -EN The display sho ws the track number and elapsed time of the track being pla yed. When the last track is pla yed bac k the play er returns to the first track and begins pla yback from that point. If a CD is already loaded in the CD pla yer , press the SOURCE button to select the CD mode .
11 -EN Displa ying and Scrolling CD T ext (CDM-7857 only) While pla ying the audio CD with CD T ext, the disc and trac k names can be display ed and scrolled. 1 In CD mode, press the TITLE b utton repeatedly to displa y Disc T ext or T rac k T e xt. NOTE If your CD has no T ext Information, NO TEXT appears.
