Normal operation – Stage 4 Once the ice le vel control opens , the B-E LED goes out. After a 10 second delay the LED (C), compressor , and f an motor go off and the B-T LED comes on. (Should the ice le vel control not remain open f or 10 seconds, the icemaker will contin ue to run.
24 Normal operation – Stage 6 When the dwell time of 20 minutes has e xpired, the B-T LED goes off. The icemaker will go through the normal star t-up sequence when the bin le vel control signals the control board f or ice. The WTR LED will remain on as long as the water sensor in the float reservoir senses water .
25 Diagnostic sequence – Stage 8 If the restar t is successful the 20M LED goes off , the 60 minute timer LED (60M) comes on. The 60M LED will remain on f or 60 minutes from restar t. A lighted 60M LED tells the technician that the icemaker has e xperienced an ov er-torque condition.
26 Diagnostic sequence – Stage 10 If the water le vel in the float reservoir drops to an unacceptable le vel, the WTR LED will go out, shutting the icemaker off . Also , the BT LED will come on, pre venting the icemak er from restar ting f or twenty minutes .
All ser vice on refrigeration systems must be perf or med in accordance with all feder al, state and local laws . It is the responsibility of the technician to ensure that these requirements are met. Recharging icemaker to other than f actor y specifications will v oid the warranty .
Service procedures Evaporator disassemb ly (Fig. 7) 1. Disconnect power to icemaker . 2. Shut off water to icemaker . 3. Drain ev aporator and float tank. 4. Disconnect plastic tubing from ev aporator water inlet, dr ain pan stub , compression nozzle tubing and reser voir o verflo w tubing from secured clip .
Prob lem 1. Icemaker will not run. System status: compressor , gearmotor, and f an motor inoperativ e. 2. Compressor will not run. System status: gearmotor and fan motor run. 3. Unit cycles intermittently . System status: compressor , gear motor , and fan motor cycle.
30 Prob lem 6. Icemaker runs f or shor t period of time and shuts down on torque error . System status: 20M or 2nd LED are lit. 7. Evaporator is iced up on the outside. No ice production. System status: compressor , gearmotor and fan motor running. 8.
