3 INSTALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpack the I ce Ma ker Removing Pack aging Materials Remove tape and glue fr om your ic e maker before us ing. ■ T o remov e any remaining tape or glue fr om the exterior of the ice maker , rub the ar e a bris kly with your th umb.
4 Recommended gr ounding method For your personal sa fety , this appliance mus t be groun ded. This appliance is equip ped with a power suppl y cord having a 3 prong gr ounding pl ug.
5 4. Fasten shu toff v alve to cold water pip e with pip e clamp. Be sur e outle t end is solidly in the ¹⁄₄ " (6.35 mm) dril led hol e in the water pip e and that the w asher is und er the pipe clamp. Tighten packing nut. Tighten the pipe clamp s crews car efully and evenly s o washer makes a wat ertight seal .
6 Drain Pump System (on some mod els) Connect the ic e maker drain to your drain in accordance wit h the Inter nati onal Plu mbing C ode and any l ocal codes an d or dinance s. NOTE : If the d rain hose be comes twis ted and wate r cannot drain, your ice ma ker will not work.
7 3. The water containi ng the rejected minerals is drained after each freezing cycle. 4. Fresh water enters t he machine for t he next ice making cycle. 5. Cubes fall int o the st orage bi n. When t he bin is full , the ic e maker shuts off automatical ly and restarts when more ice is needed.
8 7. Press and hold the CL EAN button. See “ Using the Contr ols. ” The light wi ll bl ink , indi cating that the c leani ng cy cle is in process. When th e indicator li ght tur ns green (approxima tely 70 minutes), the cleani ng cycle is compl ete.

10 8. If the room tem peratur e will d rop below 32 ° F (0 ° C), r emove wate r from the dra in lin e. For ice makers with a drain pump installed: ■ Plug in ice ma ker or re conn ect pow er . ■ T ur n ice maker off and remove all remaining ice from ice bin.
11 Ice maker runs but p roduces very little ice ■ Is the room temperature hotter than normal? Room temperatu res of mor e than 90 ° F (32 ° C) will norma lly r educe ice production. ■ Is the condenser dirty? Dirt or lint may be blocking t he airflow through th e condenser .
