•L oosen the screw in the soothing unit battery compar tment door with a Phillips screwdriver . Remove the battery compartment door . • Insert one LR20 (“D ”) alkaline battery . •R eplace the batter y compartment door . T ighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriv er .

Assembly 6 •P lace the base tube on a flat sur face as shown. •P osition the left and right base wires as shown. Note the locations of the coloured tab on the left and right base wires. •F it the left base wire into the base tube. •F it the right base wire into the base tube .
•P osition the footr est so that the soothing unit buttons are upright. •W hile flexing the base wires toward each other , hook the footrest onto the ends of the base wires.
Assembly 8 •P osition the seat back tube so that it bends backward. •F it the seat back tube completely ont o the base wires. Make sure the hole in each end of the seat back tube aligns with the hole in each base wire. •F it a retainer (rounded side inwar d) to one end of the seat back tube.
Assembly 9 •P ull up on the seat back tube to be sure it is secure . If you can remove either end of the seat back tube, you have not assembled it corr ectly .
5 5 Assembly 10 •U nbuck le the restraint belts from the r estraint pad. Push the restraint belts back through the slots in the pad . •F it the pad upper pocket onto the seat back tube . • Lift the footrest. Fit the pad lower pocket onto the f ootrest .
Assembly 11 •F it both restraint belts back thr ough the pad slots, as shown. 5 6 Restraint Belts.
Assembly 12 •F it the ends of the toy bar into the sockets in the footr est. Assembly is now complete . •T he toy bar is remov able. Simply lif t up to remo ve. Hint: The square end of the toy bar fits into the square socket and the cir cular end of the toy bar fits into the circular sock et.
Set-Up & Use 13 S ecuring Y our Child •I f the toy bar is attached, remove it befor e placing your child in the seat. •P lace your child in the seat. Position the restraint between y our child’ s legs. •F asten both restraint belts to the buckles on each side of the restraint pad .
To tighten the belts: •F eed the anchored end of the belt up through the buckle to form a loop . •P ull the free end of the belt . •R epeat this procedure to tighten the other belt. To loosen the belts: •F eed the free end of the belt up through the buckle to form a loop .
Baby Activ ated •S lide the mode switch to f or baby activated mode. •W hen baby k icks a footrest button , baby is rewar ded with sound effects and chasing lights. Af ter bab y k icks the buttons sever al times in a row , baby enjoys a musical tune and twinkling lights.
Set-Up & Use 16 •T he teethers are remov able from the toy on the to y bar . Simply twist the ends of each teether slightly to remov e them from the centre to y . 5 T eethers Care T he pad is machine washable. Wash the pad separ ately in cold water on the gentle cycle.
