5 Installation Installation Dimensions Installing the Drain CA UTION PLEASE READ all instructions completely before attempting to install or operate the unit.
6 Installation Connecting a Drain Pump If a gra vity drain connection is not av ailable, w e strongly recommend the use of the Electrolux EIMP60 drain pump . The Electrolux EIMP60 drain pump is a v ailable through y our Dealer , or direct from Electrolux with complete installation instructions.
7 Site Pr eparation Preparing the Site 1 P osition the unit on a flat, lev el surface, capable of supporting the entire weight of the unit. Remember that the unit will be significantly heavier once it is fully loaded. 2 The surrounding air temperature m ust be at least 50°F (10°C) but m ust not e xceed 110°F (43°C).
8 W ater Supply Connection CA UTION If you are using a filter system y ou will need to have at least 20 psi f or 3 minutes every 15 minutes. Connecting the W ater Supply When connecting the water supply , f ollow these guidelines: • Re view the local plumbing codes bef ore you install the unit.
9 Leveling Leveling the unit 1 Use a le v el to check the le velness of the ice maker from front to bac k and from side to side (see Figure 10). 10 Door Reversal Rever sing the Door (some models) Hole Plug All Electrolux units ma y be left or right hand opening. The door opening is easily re v ersed by moving the hinge hardw are to the opposite side (see Figure 12). T o re v erse the door : 1 Remov e top hinge screw pin from cabinet using a Phillips ® head screwdriv er (see Figure 13).

12 Door Adjustment Adjusting the Door 1/8” 4 If door edge opposite the hinges needs to mov e up, mo ve plate tow ard outside of door . If door edge needs to mov e down, mov e plate tow ard inside of door (see Figure 22). Repeat until top edge of door is parallel with top of cabinet and tighten screws securely .

14 Operation Normal Operation Ice Cube Thickness Y our Electrolux ice maker uses adv anced technology to make ice that is crystal clear . This technology cascades a flow of w ater ov er a chilled ice mold that is mounted v er tically so no water sits in it.
15 Operation Ice Cube Thic kness Adjustment Interval - As Required Ice thickness adjustments are made using the control panel as f ollows: IMPOR T ANT Ice thickness adjustment should only be made one increment at a time. Allow ice mak er production to stabilize f or 24 hours before rechecking ice thic kness.
16 Maintenance Special Considerations • F or best perf or mance, k eep the unit out of direct sunlight. • T ur n the unit OFF and dispose of an y ice cubes if the unit will not be used f or 5 da ys or more. Prop door open to allow f or air circulation and pre v ent mold and mildew .
17 Maintenance W ARNING Disconnect electric power to the ice maker before c leaning the condenser . T o remov e and replace the grille for access to the condenser fins f ollow this procedure (see Figure 29): 1 Remo v e the screws at each end of the g rille.
18 5 Replace the o v erflow tube after all of the water has dr ained from the reser v oir . 6 Star t the cleaning cycle as f ollows: a T ouch and hold the PO WER button. b T ouch and release the LIGHT button three times, then release the PO WER button.
19 Maintenance / Storage, V acation and Moving Inlet Screen Cleaning — Every Y ear The solenoid v alve inlet screen m ust be cleaned at least once each year as f ollows: 1 Shut off the water at the w ater supply v alv e. 2 Pull the unit out to access the back panel.
20 T r oubleshooting Bef ore Y ou call For Service If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, read through Normal Operation first. If the problem persists, check the T roubleshooting Guide. Locate the problem in the guide and ref er to the cause and its remedy bef ore calling f or ser vice.
21 T r oubleshooting If Service is required If the need f or ser vice arises, contact the dealer from whom the unit w as purchased. State the Model Number and Serial Number and explain the prob lem. The Model and Ser ial Number plate is located inside the unit at the upper right hand cor ner .
