8 Y ou can install t he W ireless Adapter by EZMAX Set up W i zard in the CD -ROM including in the package. The wizard is an easy and quick configuration tool for internet connection with serie s process. When you start EZMAX Setup W izard, you will get the fol lowing welco me screen.
9 4. Insert d evice driver C DROM into the CD/DVD ROM drive of your computer , a nd execute „ Setup.exe ‟ program . Pleas e read the end u ser license agreem ent and clic k „ I accept the term s of the license agreement ‟ then click „ Next ‟ but ton, to accept lice ns e agreem ent.

Y ou will also see an icon at th e lower-r ight corner of your w indows system . If you put the m o use cursor on the ic on, the status of wireless card will be displayed as a p o pup balloon.

14 2- 2 Usin g the W i reless Config uration Utility There are two way s you can configure y o ur wireless networ k card to connect to wi reless access p oint: using the Edimax configurati on utility and using built-in w indows zero c onfiguration utility .
15 2-2-1 Using Edim ax Utility Please follow t he following instructions t o use Edim ax configuration utility to conn ect to wireles s access point. 1. Righ t-click the Edimax c onfiguration utility icon l ocated at lower -right cor ner of com pu ter desktop and then clic ks „ Launch Config Utility ‟ .

17 2-2-1-1 Scan for Ot her W ireless Devices There are two kinds of w ireless connecti on m ode: Infrastructure and Ad -Hoc. Infrastruct ure mode is u sed by w ireless access points, which is able to establi sh wireless connect ion for y ou and other wirele ss / wired network clie nts.

By checking „ Show Passwor d ‟ box, the encry ption key you inp utted here wi ll be displayed. If the value y ou inputted her e is wrong, you will not be a ble to conne ct to this wire less access point.

Just like the te lephone di rectory , the profile sa v es all inform ation of access points, and y ou can recall them anytim e you wish to estab lish connectio n .

38 2-3 Profile Ma nagement If you need t o connect to dif ferent wireless access points at dif ferent time, like of acces s point of y ou r home, of fice, cybercafe, or public w ireless service, y ou can store the co n nection para meters (encryption, passphrase, security etc, etc.
