21 III. SETTING UP III-1. iQ Setup iQ Setup is a simple and intelligent W AN detection tool. Please f oll ow the instructions below . 1. U se a W i-F i device (e. g. computer , tablet, smartphone) to sear ch for a W i -F i network with the SSID “ e dimax.

51 IV -7-2. Access C ontrol Acce ss Control is a security f eatur e that can help to pr even t unauthorize d user s fr om connecti ng to y our wi r eless router . This function al low s y ou to define a list o f wir eless devices permitt e d or not permitt e d to c onnect to the r outer , identified by their unique MAC addr ess or IP addr ess.
52 Enable MAC Filtering Table: Choose “ Deny ” o r “ Allow ” next to “ Enable MAC Filtering ” , to deny or allow a specific MAC addr ess accordingly, then enter the required information.
