1 Chapter I: Pr oduct Information 1-1 Introduction and safety information Thank you for purchasing this Portable 3G Router! The smallest router also integrated with Li-battery insi de, assists you to set up a wireless network using mobile phone, 3G USB m odem or an Ethernet connections anytime and anywhere.
2 Note 1: Only one Internet connection (wireless 3G or xDSL/Cable) can be used at the same time. Note 2: T o prevent the compatib ility problem between 3G USB Modem cad and 3G router , it is recomme nded that you upgrade the latest firmware of 3G router from Edimax website http://www .

9 Chapter II: System and Network Setup 2-1 Getting S tarted Before you using the router , please follow the following instructions to charge the router . 1. Remove the battery cover in the rear side of the router and insert the supplied battery into the slot and then put back the cover .
10 Note: It takes about four hours to charge the battery . 3. When the battery is charged, the ‘Po wer ’ LED is lit in orange color . When the ‘Power ’ LED is not lit, the battery is charged completely . Note: The ‘Power ’ LED is lit in gr een color when the battery is charged completely if router is activated before charged.
11 2. Use only battery and power adapter supplied with the product. The use of any other types may be dangerous. 2-2 Build network connection Please follow the following instructi on to build the network connection between your new portable 3G router and your computers, network devices: 1.
12 2. Connect your computer to the Ethe rnet port on the right side of the router for configuring the router . Note: It is recommended to confi gure the router through the Ethernet port for the first time setup. Please go to Section 3-4 Fail Over to assign the W AN connection priority if you have subscribed to both 3G and xDSL/Cable Modem services.
13 4. Please check all LEDs on the front side. ‘PWR/CHR’ LED should be steadily on in green color , and ‘ETHERNET’ LED should be on if the computer / network device connected to the Ethernet port of the router is powered on and correctly connected.
14 2-3 Connecting to Portable 3G Router by web br owser After the network connection is bu ilt, the next step you should do is setup the router with proper network parameters, so it can work properly in your network environment.

23 2-3-5 Router IP address lookup After the IP address setup is complete , please click ‘start’ -> ‘run’ at the bottom-lower corner of your desktop: Input ‘cmd’, then click ‘OK’.

26 2-4 Using ‘Quick Setup’ This router provides a ‘Quick Setup’ procedure, which will help you to complete all required settings you need to access the Internet in very short time. 28 2. Broadband T ype Please choose the broadband (Internet connection) type you’re using in this page. There are seven types of Internet connection, they are: 3G/3.
29 3. Basic Setting Here are descriptions of every setup items: W ir eless Module (1): Please click “E nable” to start using the wir eless function of this r outer , or select “Disable” to close the wir eless interface of this r outer .

Connect the USB 3G/3.5 G modem card with 3G-6210n and make sure the corresponding USB LED indicator of 3G-6210n lights up, then you can use the web browser to access Internet. ( B ) PIN code or user name / password required: Please check the authentication method you want to use.
35 ( C ) Driver / Utility required on PC side Some 3G/3.5G modem card does not wo rk with instructions (A) or (B) listed above (ex. BandLuxe C100S). Y ou need to install 3G/3.5G modem card driver / utility on every PC which needs to access Internet first.
36 4. Please go to “My computer”, you will see the BandLuxe C100S. Double click the device. 5. The program inside the adapter w ill prepare to install the driver and utility of the adapter .
37 6. Click “Next”. 7. Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click “Next”..

51 2-5 Basic Setup In this chapter , you’ll know how to change the time zone, password, and remote management settings. Please st art your web browser and log onto router web management interface, then click ‘General Setup’ button on the left, or click ‘General Setup’ link at the upper-right corner of web management interface.

54 Please retype the new password ag ain when you see above message. If you see the following message: It means the content in ‘Current Password’ field is wrong, please click ‘OK’ to go back to previous menu, and try to input current password again.
55 2-5-3 Remote Management This router does not allow manageme nt access from Internet, to prevent possible security risks (especially wh en you defined a weak password, or didn’t change default password). Ho wever , you can still managem ent this router from a specific IP address by enabling the ‘Remote Management’ Function.
56 Press ‘Continue’ to save the settings made and back to web management interface; press ‘Apply’ to save the se ttings made an d restart the router so the settings will take ef fect after it reboots.
57 2-6 Setup Internet Conn ection (W AN Setup) Internet connections setup can be done by using ‘Quick Setup’ menu described in chapter 2-3. Howeve r , you can setup W AN connections up by using W AN configuration menu. Y ou can also set advanced functions like DDNS (Dynamic DNS) here.
