1 This guide describes some of the fe atures of your DYMO ® LabelManager™ 5 00TS label maker. Read the following sectio ns for information about using your label maker.
2 Connecting the Power The label maker is powe red by a rechargeab le, Li thium Polymer (LiPo) battery pack. Inserting the Battery The batter y pack includ ed with you r label maker comes partia lly charged. Make sure t he charging a dapter is disco nnected be fore handlin g the LiPo battery pack .
3 Charging the Battery A charging ad apter is inclu ded with your lab el maker for re charging the battery pack. Chargin g the battery p ack will take a pproximately thr ee hours. The charging adapter is only used for recharging t he battery pack ; the chargin g adapter can not be used to power th e label maker.

6 Using the Touch Screen The first time y ou turn on t he power, yo u are asked to select the la nguage, units of measure, and label width . These selections remain set unt il you change t hem. Once you select a language, you will see a short video with information abo ut using your label maker.
7 Selecting Text You can quickly select text to edit or delete. Scrolling a List Dragging a sc roll bar moves you quickly throu gh a menu o r list. Drag the handles to select more or less text. Tap to select all text on the label. Double-tap to select a word.
8 Using the Label Maker with Your Computer Your label maker can be used as a standalon e label printer or you can print labels directly fro m your compute r using DYMO Labe l ™ software (requires DYMO Label v.
9 Connecting the Label Maker to Your Computer The label m aker connects t o your com puter using th e USB connectio n located on the top of the label maker. Do not conne ct the labe l maker to your computer u ntil after the software installation is complete.

11 Downloading Labels and Clip Art Using DYMO Labe l software, yo u can imp ort data from a database f ile and download labels to the la bel maker. You can also downlo ad your own c ustom clip art to the label maker.
12 Downloading Clip Art The label m aker includes a variety of usefu l clip art image s that you can quickly add to your lab els. You can also d ownload your o wn images to the label maker. To download clip ar t to the label maker 1 Click in the DYMO Label soft ware Print area.
13 Managing Labels and Clip Art You can manage labels and clip art on yo ur la bel maker from within DYMO Label software usin g the LabelM anager 500T S File Manager. To manage labe ls and clip art dire ctly on your label make r, tap on the LabelMan ager 500TS Ho me screen, a nd then select Manage Files .
14 To manage labels on your label maker 1 Click in the DYMO Label soft ware Print area. 2 Click Manage labels and Clip Art on the label maker . The LabelMan ager 500TS Fi le Manager dialo g box appears. 3 Click Labels in the navigation pane. Managing Clip Art You can dele te clip art im ages that yo u previously down loaded to you r label maker.
