T his chapter desc ribes the W eb Configura tion, and gui des you thro ugh the configurat ion of the cam era by usin g the web bro wser.
- 20 - Basic >> Da te & Time Date & Tim e - TimeZo ne: Select the pr oper tim e zone for the re gion from the pull-do wn menu. - Synchroniz e with PC: Select this option and the date & t ime settings of the cam era will be synchroni zed with the c onnected com puter.

- 22 - 4.3 Network Settings The Net work menu c ontains three s ub-menus that provide t he network settings f or the cam era, such as the IP Sett ing, DDNS Setting, IP Filter , and W ireless Net work. Network >> Netw ork IP Setting This item allows you to select the I P address m ode and s et up the related c onfigur ation.
- 23 - Secondar y DNS domain names into IP addresses. Enter the Primary DNS an d Secondary DNS that are provided by ISP. It is usually recommended that you input the De fault Gateway of your network, which is the IP address of your router. Check with your router manufacturer for that informati on.
- 24 - Network >> IP Filter The IP Filter s etting allo ws the adm inistrator of the cam era to limit the user s withi n a certain ra nge of IP addresses to access the cam era. Start/End IP Address Assign a ran ge of IP ad dresses that are not al lowed to access the cam era b y entering the Start I P address an d End IP addres s.
- 25 - Network >> Wi reless Setting The cam era supports W LAN while you use the w ireless network. Selec t the Enable op tion to en able this feature. The cam era supports W ireless f eature that can co nnect to your wireless network. Se lect the Enable option to e nable this feat ure.
- 26 - - Encryption : Select the W EP option to enable the d ata encr yption feature t o secure the cam era within the w ireless net work. - Format: O nce you ena ble the Enc ryption feature, you need to determ ine the encr yption form at by selecting ASCII or HEX .
- 27 - Network >> Wi reless >> WPS Setting The cam era supports W PS (W iFi Protected Setup ™) feature that allows your camer a to connect t o the wireless net work easily and safel y without manua lly conf iguring the wirel ess sec urity settings.

- 30 - Video & A udio >> Video MJPEG - Video Resolu tion: Select t he desired video resol ution fr om the three form ats: VGA , Q VG A and QQVG A . The higher sett ing (VGA) obta ins better video qual ity while it uses mor e resource within your networ k.

- 32 - 4.6 Event Server Configuration The Event Server m enu contains t wo sub-m enus that allo w you to uploa d images to FT P, and send emails that include stil l images. W hen you complete th e required setti ngs for F TP, or Em ail, click T est to find out if the related configurat ion is correc t or not.
- 33 - Event Server Setting >> E mail Email - SMT P Server Address: Enter the m ail server addr ess. For ex ample, m ymail.com . - Sender Em ail Address: Enter the em ail address of the user who will s end the em ail. For exam ple, John@m ymail.
- 34 - 4.7 Motion Detect *This f unction can onl y be configure d in W indows Internet Explorer. The Motion D etect m enu contains the c omm and and option that allow you to enable and set up th e motion detect ion feature of the cam era. T he camera provides two detecti ng areas.
- 35 - 4.8 Event Configuration The Event C onfig m enu contains f ive sub-m enus that pr ovide the com m ands to configure ev ent profiles. Event Configuration >> Gene ral Setting - Snapshot/Re cording Subfolder: You can assig n a desc riptive nam e for the subfold er to save the captured im age/video f iles.

T o custom ize the prof ile, click Add and then ent er a descriptive name f or the profile in the prom pt dialog windo w. After en tering the pr ofile nam e, click O K and the profile is added to t he Schedu le Profiles list.

- 38 - Event Configuration >> Sc hedule Trigger You can sep arately conf igure the sche dule for tr igger functio n of the cam era b y Email , or FTP . Sel ect the Enable opt ion on each item , and then select a S chedule Profil e from the pull-do wn list and set the Interval tim e.
- 39 - 4.9 Tools The T ools menu provid es the com mands that allow you to r estart or r eset the ca mera. You can a lso backup and r estore your configurati on, and up grade the f irmware for the cam era. Factory Reset Click Reset to restore a ll factor y default settings for the cam era.

- 46 - 4. W hen search is finished, s elect the c amera and c lick Add . 5. The inform ation of the c amera will be displa yed on the windo w. When c ompleted, c lick Preview and then click Save to retur n to the D evice Setting window. The added c amera wil l be displa yed in the Device List.

On the De vice Setting window, the con nected c amera(s) will be displa yed in the D evice List. 2. To d elete the camera: s elect the desired one a nd then c lick Remov e .
- 49 - Viewing Ima ge of the Camera Since you h ave added c amera(s) to the system , the image of the selec ted camer a(s) will be displ ayed on the Live Vie w W indow aut om atically.
- 50 - 5.4 Recording / Playing Video Enabling / Disabling Recording Press Prev iew to activate the sett ings. W hile you are add ing/editing t he camer a, you can enab le the recording f unction for the cam era by selecting the Rec ord option. Cl ick Save af ter you finish s etting.
- 51 - Configuring the Rec ording Settings The def ault director y for saving the rec orded video files is “ C:”. You can ch ange the targ et folder f or saving the f iles in the Reco rd Setting o ption. 1. Click the button and then s elect Record Setting .
