Cooktop Us e 6 CA UTION: Fo r warr anty cover age , DCS requires that burner adjustments be made b y a qualified technician at the time of installation. Extreme care should be used when adjustments are made after installation. Impr oper or lac k of adjustments will void your warr anty .
Cooktop Us e 7 B URNERS: Y our new Dr op-In Cooktop is equipped with burners typical of those used in restaurants. These restaurant style burners are comprised of high str ength die cast aluminum burner bases and simmer port rings ,p r ecision forged brass por t rings, and aluminum burner ca ps.
Cooktop Us e 8 B URNER EFFICIENCY : It is necessar y to keep the burner ports and the igniters clean for pr oper lighting and efficient performance of the cooktop burners. The burner flame should burn completely ar ound the burner with no excessive noise or lifting.
Ca re and Maintenance 9 CLEANING THE COOKT OP Be careful cleaning an y par t of this appliance while hot. All par ts of the appliance can be c leaned with hot soapy water , rinsed, dried and buffed to a shine with a soft, heavy pile cloth. Always tr y this first, as it is the mildest c leaning procedur e .
CLEANING THE B URNERS: F or pr oper lighting and performance k eep the burners clean. It is necessar y to clean the burners if they do not light although the igniter clicks, whenev er there has been a se vere boil o ver or when the flame doesn’ t burn blue .
