10 www .danedigital.com C onnect and disconnect the So Spe aky PVR • The first time it is used as a peripheral stor age devic e, a driver must be installed if the computer’ s stor age syst em is an older one. For the first use, turn the So Speaky PVR on, and connect it to the comput er via the USB cable.

12 www .danedigital.com C onnection of TV audio output • The So Speaky PVR is designed with multi- output , including composit e(A V),component(YPbPr) and HD MI. Individuals can select differ ent interf ace acc ording various need. The product can detect video output automatically , making the oper ation friendly and convenient.
HDMI is a output with best audio and video effect which outputs digital video and audio c omposited at the same time. Connect HDMI cable to output of So Spe aky PVR and display de vice with HDMI input . Select HDMI mode in TV until it displa ys the interf ace of initia tion.
C onnection and setup of netw ork • The So Speaky PVR can play the files stored in the PC directly through network . Please connect the R J45 cable ac cor ding to the following il lustr ation. The network c onnects well when the LED of network status and W/R blinks.

Select “Edit” fr om menu and select “Add a New Schedule”, then pre ss “OK” button t o enter . In “Recor ding schedule set up” menu, find the r est av ailable rec ording time acc ording to different rec ording quality lev el.
23 www .danedigital.com All the rec orded files are recor ded in a file folder named “My rec ordings”. Enter the “Browser” in the main menu and select the “HDD”, you wil l find this folder and recor ded videos w ere saved in this folder named acc ording to sys tem time.
C onnect to the PC : • This So Speaky PVR HDD Recor der & Player is also a personal multimedia files storage devic e and can be used by c onnecting to the PC . 1) Connect t o the power supply While using the So Speaky PVR HDD r ecor der & play er with PC , power supply is also needed.
25 www .danedigital.com 4. OPERA TION OF PRODUCT USAGE Po wer on the So Spe aky PVR HDD Rec order & Pla yer , the system shows guide menu after a few sec onds. There will be five function options, or individuals can enter this guide menu by press “Guide” button on the remot e con trol.
Bro wser • Select “Bro wser” in the guide menu or pre ss “Br owser” butt on on the r emote c ontrol, then individuals can bro wse movie , photo and music files st ored in HDD , card, net.

Timer Rec • Timer Rec al lows individuals to crea te, edit and delete rec ording schedules and view all schedule status and history . Select Timer Rec ord from the Guide menu, there are four options: Edit , Delete , Status and History . Please pr ess and button select .
29 www .danedigital.com File C opy • The File C opy allows individuals to copy files between USB, CARD , HDD , NE T . Select “File Copy” from the Guide menu or select “C OPY” on the r emote con trol .It is very eas y to copy files between various devices.

It is possible to c onfigure Photo , Audio , Video , Rec, Network and S ystem. Select any option by pres sing and on the remo te controller , and press ENTER to confirm or pres s “Return” t o exit.
Changing HDMI settings • Connect the HD MI cable before usage, adjust TV mode to HD MI, then video appears on TV screen. Ple ase ref er to “changing audio settings” and “changing video se ttings” if you w ant to change HDMI se ttings.
