2 Introduction Thank you for choosing the D-Link DCM-200 digital, two-way DOCSIS 1.0-com pliant USB/Ethernet Cable Modem. The DCM-200 provides custom ers with high-speed access to the Internet through the cable TV (CATV) network.
DCM-200 U SB/Ethernet Ca ble Modem 3 Setting Up the Device Before You Start Local Cable Service You will need to establi sh an account with your lo cal cable operator in orde r to access th e Intern et with this modem. They will assist you in setting up the modem to operate on their network.
4 Connection Architecture In order for you to enjoy the benefits of your Cable Modem, your PC mus t be properly connected to the cable TV wire. The following diagr am illustrates a typica l PC/TV installation. (Newer homes or businesses ma y have a dedicated coaxial cable line for Internet connection).
