Oven Timer Operation 5 A UT OMA TIC COOKING The Main Oven can be controlled by the automatic timer . HINTS ON A UT OMA TIC COOKING 1. Select foods which will require the same cook ing time and tem perature . 2. T o ensure food does not cool down and require reheating, set t he end time so the food is ready when you require it.

Ensure the correct time of day is always set, before using your coo ker . SYMBOLS Will light up when you select a M inute Minder P eriod and will r emain lit for the per iod set.
Oven Timer Operation 7 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls are turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. When switched on the display will show 0.00 and "A" symbol, both will be flashing intermittently .
Step 3 Press & hold in the “Cook Period” button, the display will read 0.00 with the cook pot symbol lit up. Step 4 With the Cook Period button still held set the required Cook Period using the “+” and “–” buttons.
Oven Timer Operation 9 Minute Minder Cook Period End Time Manual 16 . 20 At the end of the Automatic Cook Period the Auto Symbol "A" wil l flash and an intermittent bleeping sound will be heard . The symbol will go out. The bleeping sound will continue for several minutes unless cancelled.
Oven Timer Operation 10 Step 4 Press & hold in the "Cook Period" button, the display will read 0.00 and the cook pot symbol will light up. With the Cook Period button still held set the required Cook Pe riod using the "+" and "–" buttons, the "A" symbol will light up.
Oven Timer Operation 11 O THER NOTES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. T o cancel the Auto Cooking programme before or after auto cook ing star ts, press the "Cook Period" and "Stop Time" buttons together , this will return the cooker to the manual operation.
Using The Hob DEEP F A T FRYING SAFEL Y 1. Use a deep pan, lar ge enough to completely cover the appropriate heating area. 2. Never fill the pan more than one third full of oil. 3. Never leave oil or fat unattended during the heating or cooki ng period.

Guide T o Grilling 14 Pre - heat the grill for 5 minutes on maximum control setting b efore grilling The settings in the above guide have been developed to cook food successfully without excessiv e fat spitting and splashing. Always position the grill pan centrally under the grill element to ensure even cooking.
Since a circulaire fan oven heats up more quickly , and generally cooks food at a lower temperature than a convection oven, pre-heating is often unnecessar y . Using The Main O v en F or O ther F unctions 16 “SL OW” SETTING This is used for slow cooking, keeping food warm and warming pla tes f or short periods. Extra care must be taken when warming bone china. D o not place food or plat es on the floor of the oven.
