20 Chapter 6 - Basic Config uration Guide Ethernet Interfac e Configuration Ethernet interfaces are considerably easier to set up than wide area interfaces since t here are fewer choices that need to b e made regarding communi cations protocols and parameters.

The Ethernet interface will autoconfigur e to use the two most common IPX frame types, and will autoadapt to condi- tions on the Eth ernet.
