7 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials are envir onmentally friendly and can be recy- cled. The plastic components are id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at the community waste disposal facilities.

12 Befor e the first drying cycle 1 If the appliance was not tr ansported in an upright position, leave it to stand for 12 hours befor e connecting it to the electricity supply and us- ing it for the fir st time, so that the oil can flow back to the compr essor .

14 Selecting a dditional func tions INTENSITY (RESTVOCHT) For precise setting of the r esidual moisture content of the laundry , the degrees of dryness +, ++ or +++ can be set in addition to most progr ammes.
15 Setting time delay 3 With the DELA Y TIMER (ST ARTTIJDKE UZE) button, you can delay the start of a progr amme by between 30 minutes ( 30 ' and a maximum of 23 hours ( 23 h ).

Close loading secur ely . Lock must audibly lock. 4. Press the ST ART/P AUSE (START/P AUZE) button to continue the drying cycle.
17 Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning fluff filter To ensur e that the dryer works perfec tly , the fluff filters (micr o-fine fil- ter and fine strainer) must be cleaned after every drying cycle. 1 Cautio n! Never operate the dryer without fluff filters or with damaged or blocked fluff filters.
18 Clean the entire filter ar ea 3 The stra iner area does not have to be cleaned after every drying cycle, but should be checked regularly an d cleaned of fluff if necessary . 6. To do this, grip the top of the large mesh filter and pull it forwar ds un- til it comes loose fr om the two brackets.
19 Emptying the condensate tank Empty condensate tank af ter every drying cycle. If the condensate tank is full, an active pr ogramme will br eak off auto- matically and the EMPTY WA TER (RESERVOIR) display will light up. In order to continue the pr ogramme, th e condensate ta nk must first be emptied.
20 Cleaning the fluff filter If the indicator CLEAN BASE FIL TER (REINIG SOKKELFILTER) lights up, the fluff filter and the filter mat in the base of the appliance must be cleaned. 3 To pr otect the heat pump fr om dirt, th e dryer is fitted with a special fil- ter mat, which is located in the fi lt er housing.
21 6. To clean the filter mat: Remove filter mat fr om filter hous- ing. To do this, press the pr essure points on the sides and pull the fil- ter mat and fr ame up and out of the housing. 7. Take the filter mat out of the frame and wash it by hand or use a vacu- um cleaner , when it is has dried out.
22 Cleaning the drum 1 Cautio n! Do not use abrasives or steel wool to clean the drum. 3 Lime in the water or cleaning agents may form a barely visible lining on the inside of the drum. The degree to which the laundry has been dried is then no longer detected relia bly .
23 Drying results unsatis- factory . Wr ong programme selected. Select a different programme the next time you dry (see “Overview of progr ammes” section). Lint filters clogged. Clean lint filters. Fluff filter clogg ed. Clean fluff filter . Overloading of laundry .
24 Changing the bulb for interior lighting Only use a special bulb which is designed specially for dryer s. The spe- cial bulb can be obtained fr om the Customer Car e Department, ET no. 1 12 552 000-5. 3 Important: When the appliance is switch ed on, the interior lighting switches itself off after 5 minutes when the door is open.

28 T r ansporting the appliance 1 Important: Only tip the appliance on its left side to tra nsport (see il- lustration), if it cannot be tr ans- ported in an upright position.
29 Removing tr ansport safety equipment 1 Cautio n! Before fir st starting up, all parts of the transport safety equipment must be removed. 1. Open loading door 2. Pull off adhesive strips from inside machine on top of drum. 3. Remove foil hose and polystyrene padding from the machine.
30 Changing door stop 1 War n i n g ! The door stop may only be changed by a specialist. If neces- sary , please contact our after-sales service or your specialist dealer . War n i n g ! Before changing the door stop, disconnect the mains plug; with a permanent connection : fully unscre w or deactivate the fuse.
31 7. Unscrew cover plates E fr om the front of the machine, rotate through 180, scr ew on the opposite side. 8. Unscrew door lock F , push down slightly and r emove from the fr ont of the machine. 9. Press snap-in button G in and down, press cover down slightly and r e- move from fr ont of the machine.
