PCA-6774 User Manual 2 Chapter 1 Introduction 1.1 Introduction Advantech's new PCA-6774 is a Socket 370 half-sized CPU card that will support up to 1.26GHz Pentium III with 512 KB 2nd cache using VIA VT8606 "T wister T" chipset. This SBC includes a 4X AGP controller , a PCI Ethernet interface, and 36-bit TTL interface.

The number of pi ns are different on either side of the breaks, so the module can only fit in one way . DIMM modules have different pin contacts on each side, an d therefore have a higher pin den- sity .

The PCA-6774 includes a multi-mode (E CP/EPP/SPP) parallel port accessed via CN4 and a 26-pin flat-cable connect or . Y ou will need an adapter cable if you use a traditional DB-25 connect or .

19 Chapter 2 Unlike floppy drives, IDE hard drives can con nect to either end of the cable. If you install two drives, you will need to set one as the master and one as the slave by using jumpers on the drives. If you install only one drive, set it as the master .

31 Chapter 4 4.2 Award BIOS setup A ward’ s BIOS ROM has a built-in Set up program that allows users to modify the basic system configu ration. This type of inform ation is stored in battery-backed CMOS RAM so that it reta ins the Setup i nformation when the power is turned off.

If the stored record created by the Setup program should ever become corrupted (and therefore unusabl e), these defaults will load auto- matically when you turn th e PCA-6774 Series system on.
