540D V2 azur 3 ENGLISH Cambridge Audio warrants this pr oduct to be free from defects in materials and workmanship (subject t o the terms set forth below). Cambridge Audio will repair or replace (at Cambridge A udio's option) this product or an y def ective parts in this product.
Pow er cord protection The unit must be installed in a manner that makes disconnection of the mains plug from the mains sock et outlet (or appliance connect or fr om the rear of the unit) possible. Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect de vice shall remain readily operable.
RGB/SCART Use a SCART/Perit el cable to connect t o the 2 1-pin scar t input jack of a T V . SCART carries both audio (stereo) and video (as either Composit e, S- Video or RGB) at the same time. Analog Video Outputs Composite - Connect to your t elevision via 75 ohm RCA/phono cable designed specifically for video use.
F ront panel display Title/Chapter Indicates the chapt er title and chapter number fields. Video format Displays the video output f ormat: NTSC or PAL. Time Shows the hour , minutes and seconds elapsed on the disc. MP4 Indicates a DivX/MP4 encoded disc is pla ying.
Note: If Stop is pressed once pla yback can be resumed from the same place b y pressing Play . Press St o p twice to completely st op playback. If Pause is select ed pressing the Slow k ey then allo ws frame by frame advancement of the paused frame.

540D V2 azur 9 ENGLISH Analog video connections The 540D V2 can output video in both fully digital (HDMI) and analog (Composite, S-Video, R GB/SCART and Component) f ormats. If your T V set suppor ts HDMI then this is the preferred f ormat (see next section).
10 Dolby Digital EX Known also as DD (3/3) or DD 6. 1, an enhanced form of Dolby Digital. On top of the discret ely encoded 5. 1 channels DD EX pro vides an extra 6th channel (Surround Back, giving 6. 1 or 7 . 1 with mono rear surr ounds) matrix encoded into the rear surr ounds.
Press the Setup button on the remo te t o enter the 540D V2 Setup menus: Running along the t op of the screen are four icons that represent the four main menu sections: Video Setup Audio Setup Dolby Digital Setup Preference Setup* * Note: To enter the Preferences menu the unit must first be in stop mode with the disc drawer out.
16:9 Wide - Select this screen when connected t o a widescreen TV set. The full picture will now normally be displa yed with no picture cropping (unless the mo vie itself has black bars recorded into the video).
540D V2 azur 13 Audio setup menus With the Audio setup menu select ed, use the and arrows t o mov e to the desired sub-menu. Use the Na vigation arrows ( ) to adjust the settings and press the Enter butt on to confirm your selection.
14 Dolby Digital Setup menus When the Dolby Digital setup menu is select ed, use the and arro ws to mo ve to the desired menu. Use the Na vigation arrows ( ) to adjust the settings and press the Ent er button to confirm your selection.
540D V2 azur 15 ENGLISH Preference menu Note: To access the Preference menu, the disc tray drawer must be open. The Preferences menus are used t o set the default language tracks the 540D V2 will use for Soundtrack, Subtitles and Disc Menu if the y are av ailable on the disc.
16 Basic operating instructions Note: The repeat chapt er/title setting will be cleared when moving to other chapter or title. A -B Repeat 1. Press the A-B butt on at your desired starting point. ‘A ’ appear s briefly on the T V screen. 2. Press the A-B button at your desired end point.
