OPERA TING Y OUR SL O W COOKER Appliance sur faces are hot during and af ter use. Always w ear protective, insulated ov en mitts when touching a hot slow cook er . Before t he Firs t Use 1 . Carefully remo ve all the pieces of the slow cooker fr om t he packaging and place on counter near a suitable electrical outlet.
Fill the ceramic crock between ½ and 2 / 3 full wit h ingredients and cov er wit h lid. This meets food safety st andards and ensur es that your food will cook thoroughly .
W arm – Use this setting to keep cook ed foods warm until ser ving. DO NO T use the W arm setting to reheat lef tov ers or to cook foods (as the temperature is not hot enough to do so). Step 3: SET TIMER Press the Time button to select desired cooking time (in 30 minute increments) or hold Time button for one minute increments.
• DO NO T reheat left ov ers in a slo w cooker . Doing so may result in food poisoning. Instead, reheat lef tov ers on the st ov e top or in a micro wav e until steaming hot, and t hen mov e to the slow cooker to k eep warm for ser ving.
