Chapter 1 Preface This is a Prelim inary version of the m anual intended to provi de advance information on t he Addonics Technologies’ external M obile DVD±R/RW drive. The information is as complete and as accurate as possible as of the publication date, but will be superseded and update d periodically by re vised ma nuals.

Chapter 3 Hardware Installation Fire wire Cable Installation Attach the FIREWIRE-IDE cable’s “ MC 36 Connector ” (Picture 1) to your Addonics Mobile Drive fi rm and securely – you should not be able to disconnect the cable without pressing the release notch.

CardBus / PCMCIA setting The Addonics CardBus PCMC IA card has an option switch can all ow you to choose using either PCMCIA m ode or CardBus m ode. The switch position is as follows: PCMCIA CardBus Side View Front view Cardbus and PCMCIA selection switch.
