Set the carton on a rigid flat surface . 2. Open carton completely by cutting each corner from top to bottom.
OPERA TION 7 USING THE GENERA T OR System Gr ound The generator has a system ground that connects the generator frame components to the ground terminals on the A C output receptacles. The system gr ound is connected to the A C neutral wire (see “Equipment Description”, earlier in this manual).
OPERA TION 8 OPERA TING THE GENERA T OR Star ting the Engine Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator . Use the following start instruction steps in numerical order: 1. Mak e sure unit is on a le vel surface. IMPOR T ANT : Failure to start and operate unit on a lev el surface will cause the unit not to start or shut down during operation.

OPERA TION 10 RECEPT A CLES A double pole rock er switch circuit br eak er is pro vided to protect all the r eceptacles and generator against electrical ov erload. 110/220 V olt A C , 20 Amp Locking Receptacle Use a NEMA L14-20 plug with this receptacle.
OPERA TION 11 Gr ound F ault Pr otection The duplex receptacles ar e equipped with Gr ound Fault Circuit Inter rupter (GFCI) protection. This de vice meets applicable federal, state and local codes. The generator’ s locking receptacle is not pr otected by a GFCI.
OPERA TION 12 DON'T O VERLO AD GENERA T OR Capacity Y ou must mak e sure y our generator can supply enough rated (running) and surge (starting) watts for the items you will po wer at the same time. Follow these simple steps: 1. Select the items you will po wer at the same time.
