21 Installing Sonic MyDVD Instal li ng Sonic MyD VD After you install yo ur drivers, you need to in sta ll MyDVD. T o install M yDVD: Note: If yo u ha ve an older versio n of MyDV D a lready installed on your system, you must un install it first before insalling the n ewer version.

23 Creat ing A Vi deo Pr oject Wit h MyD VD 2 Move the mouse pointer over either DVD-V i deo or V ideo CD (depending o n wha t type of media y ou want ), then click Create or Modify a ... Pr oject . The Main pr oject window appears. 3 On the Main pr oject window (shown in Step 2 ), click Captur e .

Y ou can also choose the specific video frame that you want to use as the thumbnai l picture that is display ed in your Main project window .

T o preview your pr oject, press Preview at the bottom of your M ai n project window , then dou ble-click the thumbna il cl ip you want to look at.
27 Sharin g Y our DVD or VC D Sharing Y our D VD or VCD Now that yo u ’ ve captured your video and burned it to a DVD or CD, you ’ re ready to share it. Y ou can play you r newly created DVD on most compatible DVD players and your VCD on most compatible DVD players or CD-RO M drives.

T o allo w M yDVD to recognize an d capture the video : a Click OK to close the error message.
33 Need Help Bu rning Y our Vid eo? ■ If ther e are lar ge gaps in your analog video tape of about 5 minu tes, MyDVD stops capt uring . T o conti nue, forwar d to a new clip and start capturing. Gaps in video footage ar e often caused by stops, pauses, static, o r unrecor ded space in the original recording.
