Front suspension ass embly Locate y our lower front suspension arms and the hard a nodiz ed alloy pivot ball s. Note that the arms are not sy mm etrical. Pop the piv ot balls into the arms with the shoulder on the ball facing up . Do this by placing the ball on a hard flat surface an d placing the arm ov er the ball.
Step 6 Attach the upper suspension arm assembly to th e lower suspension arms as shown with 4- 40 x ½” screws. Step 7 Locate the Ti f ront axles, four 4-40 alloy lock nuts, and two alloy pivot balls. Thread the Ti axles into the steeri ng spindles.
Step 9 Locate f our 8- 32 x 5/8” screws and 4 thin and 4 thick ny lon lower s uspension arm risers. Pass a screw through the chassis and slide a thi n and a thick ny lon r iser over the screw. Start threading the screw into t he lo wer suspension arm but do not tigh ten it.
Step 1 1 Locate the delrin center pivot assembly one 4- 40 x ¼” and two 4- 40 x 3/8” flat he ad screw s. Attach the center pivot assem bly to the rear most hol e in the center of the lower chassis plate wi th the ¼” screw.
Step 15 Locate the two alloy rear pod plates, the alloy rear pod plate spacer tube 2 4- 40 x 3/8” flat head screws and 4 4- 40 x ¼” f lat head screw s.
Step 18 3. Apply 10000wt silicon diff oi l to the pistons and insert them into the dam per tubes. 4. Attach the alloy pivot ball s to the bottom of the pod top plate and the to ps pf the side wings as shown above. Secure them with alloy lock nuts 5. Attach a black medium ball stud on top of the top pod plate in the front and center hole.
1. Attach the battery retention plate to the 3 alloy stand offs w ith 3 4- 40 x ¼” flat head screws. 2. Assembl e the IRS Nickel -Teflon M acro Shock as per the included ins tructions with 40wt silicon shock oil. 3. Install the included center shock spring onto the shock and snap the shock in place.
Insert the IRS precision ride hei ght adjuster cam s into the r ear alloy pod plates. Insert a 3/8” x ¼” flanged bearing into each ride height adjuster an d insert the axle as shown. Install y our f avorite w heels and measure the width of the car.
Install the G 10 batte ry locater with 2 2-56 flat head screws. The middle position i s a good pl ace to start. Step 27 Step 28 The Servo mounts are attached to the lower chassis with two 4- 40 x ¼” f lat head screws. At thi s time drill out the center holes on y our servo saver (not suppli ed) for two Nickel Tef lon ball studs.
Mounting Electronics (4 cell & Saddl e LiPo) The “Center Mass“ chassis lay out of the DB10R is one of the features that really puts thi s car ahead of the pack. This chassis design moves the batte ries forward and places the electronics between the battery and the m otor pod.
Mounting Electronics (Stick LiPo) This is the recomm ended electronics installati on when the DB10R is powered b y a stick Li Po battery . You w ill need to purchase the “Stick LiPo Mounti ng Kit” ( www.bmiracing.com , DB5900) in order to fit the battery .
