6 ENGLISH (Original instructions) Intended use Y our Black & Decker trimmer has been designed for trimming and nishing lawn edges and to cut grass in conned spaces.
7 ENGLISH (Original instructions) Using an extension cable Always use an approved extension cable suitable for the power input of this appliance (see technical data). The extension cable must be suitable for outdoor use and marked accordingly . Up to 30 m of 1.
8 ENGLISH (Original instructions) u If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised Black & Decker Service Centre in order to avoid a hazard. u Electric safety can be further improved by using a highsensitivity 30 mA Residual Current Device (RCD).
9 ENGLISH (Original instructions) Edging mode (g. I & J) For edging, the trimmer head should be in the position shown in g. I. If it is not: u Disconnect the tool from the supply . u Loosen the adjustment collar (6) by turning it clockwise. u Whilst holding the handle (2), rotate the head (8) anti-clockwise.
10 ENGLISH (Original instructions) u Bend the cutting line and anchor it in the L-shaped slot (30). u Wind the cutting line onto the spool in the direction of the arrow . Make sure to wind the line on neatly and in layers. Do not criss-cross (g. R).

Do not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner . u Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a soft brush or dry cloth. u Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass and dirt from the underneath of the guard.
