V300 Quick Start Guide 1 Overview This Quick S tart Guide shows you how to set up and use your V300. It includes the following sections: • Hardware and Connections - introduces the physical fe at ures of the V300 and shows how to connect it to your network.

V300 Quick Start Guide 3 1.1 Making Hardware Connections 1L A N : Use an Ethernet cable to connect the V300 to your network. 2P C (optional): Use an Ethe rnet cable to co nnect your computer to the PC.
V300 Quick Start Guide 4 2 Initial Configuration This section describes how to use the phone’s LCD screen menus to: • Set up Y our Network Connection and • Set up Y our V oice Account The phone does not need to be connected to a co mputer to do this.
V300 Quick Start Guide 5 1 Press the navigator up or down to access the menu, and scroll d own to Adv Setting . Press Menu . " Y ou can also use the alphan umeric keypad to make your selections in the LCD screen. For example, you can press the 6 key in the Menu Setting screen (above) to go to the Adv Setting screen.
V300 Quick Start Guide 6 6 The PPPoE Username menu displays. Press Menu and enter your user name. Press Menu again when you are done. 7 Press 3 to enter the PPPoE Password menu. Press Menu . The PPPoE Password menu displays. 8 Press Menu and enter your password.

Scroll down and set up the Gateway IP address, Subnet Mask and 1st and 2n d DNS servers (if you have information about only one DNS server , set up the 1st DNS only).
V300 Quick Start Guide 8 2.2 Set up Y our V oice Account Follow these steps to configure your V oIP account. 1 Go to the main screen (see section 2.1). 1 Press the navigat o r down to enter the me nu syste m . Then, p r ess 6 to enter t h e Ad v Setting menu.
V300 Quick Start Guide 9 5 When you are done configuring your SIP account settings, press PHONEBOOK to return to the default LCD display . The low er line of the LCD displays your SIP number (“827610”, in this example) if it has re gistered successfully .
V300 Quick Start Guide 10 V If your SIP account does not register successfully ( No Reg is still dis played in the main screen) or you cannot make a call, check your conn ections and re-enter your SIP settings. Restar t the V300 (turn the power of f, then back on).
V300 Quick Start Guide 11 ENDING A CALL When you want to end a call, press the HANG UP key . Alternatively , do one of the following: • If you are using the handset, repl ace it in the cradle. • If you are using the internal speakerphone , press the SPEAKER key .
