Chapter 2 Basic Installation System Requir ement Before installing the ZMAX-8210 Cust omer Premise Equipm ent, make sure your system meets these requirements A PC coupled with 10/ 100Base-TX adapt er Configure the com puter with a static IP address of 192.
Connect the ot her end of the Ethernet ca ble to the ZMAX-821 0. T ighten the water -proof connector . A ground wire connects the ZMAX-8210. Ground T o keep t he ZMAX-8210 a ntenna intact, a p lastic coat is o ver the antenna. Remove the coat wile using it.
Be sure to your ZMA X-8210 is conne cted the ground wire, preventing som ething unexpected. Antenna Installation 16dBi built-in antenna is placed in the ZMAX-8210, s o you need not i nstall antenna. The ZMAX-8210-E ne eds an external an tenna. Y ou should choose your an tenna as your need.
B a s i c S e t t i n g s Chapter 3 Basic Settings Default Factory Settings W e’ll elaborate the ZMAX-82 10 default factory setting s. Y ou can re-acquire these parameters by resort button. If necessary , please refer to the “the way to restore default factory setti ngs.

By default, the ZMA X-8210 CPE is Devic exxxxxx(xxxxxx represents t he last 6 digits of MAC address). No figure is allowed to represent initial. When WINS undertakes interpreti ng, make sure the PC IP address need to be matched the CPE. For i nstance, the ZMAX- 8210 is 192.

DHCP Server Under the router m ode, the ZMAX-8210 can also serv e as a DHCP server, respon sible for assigning IP addresses to the devices connected to the infrastructure . From the “ IP Settings ” choose “ Router”. The way to assign IP Address turns “S tatic IP to “ DHCP Server ” .
From the “ Adjust fo r Daylight Saving T ime ” , you have the option of daylight sa ving time or not. Finally , clicking “Apply ” to complete your tim e server settings. Note : It is only when the ZMAX-82 10 have access to the i nternet that the time server can take effec t.

Click “ Upload ” to enable the file to be loaded to your ZMAX-8210. Reboot your ZMAX -8210 and check wheth er the firmware has been upgra ded in the Basic Information. Upgrade firmware via FTP Enter the comm and ftp 192.168.1.1 , a dmin and password.
