8 P ersonal Pr efer ences Y ou can set your o wn per sonal preferences on the play er . General operation: ¶ Press ON SCREEN on the remote control. ¶ Select in the menu bar and press 4 . ➜ The P er sonal Preferences menu appears. ¶ Use the 1 2 3 4 buttons to toggle through the men us, submenus and submen u options.
9 English – Night Mode Optimizes the dynamics of the sound for lo w volume playback. – Karaok e vocal Put this setting to ON only when a multi-channel karaoke D VD is being play ed. The kar aoke channels on the disc will then be mix ed into a nor mal stereo sound.
10 Loading Discs 1 Press OPEN/CLOSE on the front of the play er to open the disc tray . 2 Load y our chosen disc in the tr ay , label side up. 3 Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray . ➜ r eading appear s in the status window and READING on the play er display , and playback star ts automatically .
11 English Sear ch ¶ Select (FAST MO TION) in the menu bar . ¶ Use the 4 buttons to enter the FAST MO TION menu. ¶ Use the 1 2 buttons to select the required speed: -32, -8 or -4 (backward), or +4, +8, +32 (forward). ¶ Select 1 or press B to play the disc at normal speed again.
12 FTS-Video ¶ The FTS-Video function allows y ou to store your fa vorite titles and chapter s (D VD) and fav or ite tracks and indexes (VCD) for a par ticular disc in the play er memor y . ¶ FTS program can contain 20 items (titles, chapter s etc.).
13 English Special Video CD & SVCD F eatur es Pla yback Control (PBC) ¶ Load a Video CD with PBC and press B . ¶ Go through the menu with the buttons indicated on the screen until your chosen passage star ts to play . If a PBC menu consists of a list of titles, you can select a title directly .
14 Storing an FTS Pr ogram 1 Load a disc and stop playback. 2 Use 4 to go to the list of a vailable tracks. 3 Use 2 or 1 to select tracks from the list. T o go directly to any track, enter the track number using the numeric buttons (0-9). 4 Store each track by pressing ENTER/OK.
