3 User Repair P r ecautions No parts of this player ar e to be ser viced by the user . If the player fails to operate or if y ou feel it needs ser vicing, tur n o the player , unplug it and contact an Acesonic dealer or ser vice center .
4 Front Panel Functions and Operation 1. POWE R : P ress this button to toggle the K OD- 1000 on and o . T urning o the power o n the player’ s front panel, however , will not allow it to be powered on by the r emote control. 2. NUMERIC KEYS : P ress these butto ns to input track selections and song numbers.

W hile not as high qualit y as S-video or Component, it is more prevalent in TVs. 9. 5.1 CHANNEL A UDIO OU T PU T : ese out- puts are analog 5.1 sound connections. 8 5.1 Surround Sound Connections Power Connections W hen you have completed connecting y our K OD- 1000 to your video and audio compo nents, refer to the diagram below to connect the play er to the power cord and an appropriate electrical outlet. P lease note that the K OD-1000 uses 100 V to 240 V , at 50/60 Hz.
9 Basic Karaoke Functions Random P lay After pressing the PLA Y/P AUSE button o n the remote contr ol, K OD-1000 will play the har d drive’ s collections of songs randomly . is mode is useful for competitions, demonstrations and background music.

15 T o access the song’ s information, enter its numeric code using the NUME RIC K EYS and press R EC. T o correct or change the track ’ s inf ormation: 1. Press the CL EAR button on the remote control to delete a character . 2. Use the UP/DOWN keys on the remote contr ol’ s DIRECTIONAL CONTR OL to navigate catego- ries.

CLEAR BU T TON : P ress this button to delete the last digit you enter ed. 5. P LA Y/P A USE BU T TON : Pr ess this button to start, pause and resume a song .
