6 6 BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME IMPORT ANT : Before using for the first time, operate the appliance without batter in order to burn of f residues on the Cooking Plates. CAUTION: To avoid burns, caution should be taken when handling the Wa f fle Maker .
OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Be sure the Cooking Plates are clean and free from dust. If necessar y , wipe with a damp cloth. 2. When using the W af fle Maker for the first time, brush the Cooking Plates with cooking oil. NOTE: The W af fle Maker is coated with a non-stick surface.
8 USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user ser viceable parts. Do not tr y to repair it yourself. Any ser vicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be perfor med by a qualified appliance repair technician.
