3 GET TING ST ARTED 1. Connect your Router’s Ethernet cable to your modem’ s E thern et port ( on the back of your modem) . This port might be labeled differently on y our particular modem. If y ou are adding a Rou te r for t he fi r st ti me, t hi s po r t may b e co nn ec te d to you r co mp ute r by an Et he rn et c ab le.
4 GET TING ST ARTED 5. Af ter a brief installation, the setup software will ask you for the network name and password from the network information card that is attached to your Router . Store the card under the base of y our Router f or future ref erence.
