14 GAS INSTRUC TIONS REFILLING THE LIQUID PROP ANE CYLINDER We recommend that you refi ll the LP cylinder before it is completely empty . Removal of the LP cylinder 1) Make sure hose is secured in retainer clip. 2) Close cylinder valve (turn clockwise).
15 GAS INSTRUC TIONS • T reat “empty” LP cylinders with the same care as when full. Even when the LP tank is empty of liquid there still may be gas pressure in the cylin- der . Always close the cylinder valve before disconnecting. CAUTION: When transporting the LP cylinder make sure the plastic dust cover is in place over the valve.

18 TROUBLESHOO TING PROBLEM CHECK CURE Burner burns with a dark orange fl ame, in conjunction with heavy soot- ing. Inspect Spider / Insect Screen for pos- sible obstructions. (Blockage of holes.) Clean Spider / Insect Screen. (See Section “Annual Maintenance”) Burner does not light.
19 MAINTENANCE WEBER ® SPIDER / INSEC T SCREEN Y our Weber ® gas fi replace, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target for spiders and other insects. They can nest in the venturi section (1) of the burner tube. This blocks the normal gas fl ow , and can cause the gas to fl ow back out of the air shutter .
