Most users will be able to configure the AP and get it working properly using the settings on th is screen. LAN I P Address and Subnet Mask: This is the AP' s IP Address and Subnet Mask as seen on the internal LA N.
User’s Guide 8 Wireles s: This sect ion provide the W ireless Network settings f or your W LAN Wireless Settings SSID: The service set ident ifier ( SSID ) or network n ame. It is case sensitive and must not exceed 32 characters, which may be any keyboard character.
User’s Guide 9 -WPA -Preshared k ey There are two encryption options fo r W PA Pre-Shared Key, TK IP and AES. TK IP stands f or Temporal Key I ntegrity Protoco l. TKIP utili zes a stronger encryption method and incorporates Message Integrity Code (MIC) t o provide protection against hackers.
User’s Guide 10 -WPA RA DI US W PA RADIUS uses an e xternal RADIUS server to perform user auth entication. To u se W PA RADIUS, enter the IP address of the RADIUS server, the RADIUS Port (default is 1812) and the sha red secret f rom t he RADIUS se rver.

T o kee p activity logs, select Enable . To keep a p ermanent record of a ctivity logs as a f ile on your PC’s ha rd drive, Log viewer software must be used.

User’s Guide 18 RTS Thres hold: T his v alue should remain at its de fault setting of 2346. Should y ou encounter inconsistent data flow, only m inor modifica tions are recomme nded. If a network packe t is sm aller than the prese t RTS th reshold size, th e RTS/CTS me chanism will not be enabled.

User’s Guide 22 5 . T roubleshooting Basic Functions My Wireles s A P w ill not turn on. No LED’s light up. Cause: The power is not co nnected . Resolution: Connect the po wer adapter to your AP and plug it into the po wer outlet. Note: Only u se the power ad apter provided with your AP.
