1 1. Power down your computer and u nplug its power cord; 2. Open the case and locate an available PCI slot on the motherboard; 3. Insert the PCI Adapter into the PCI slot. Make sure that all of its pins are touching the slot's contact s. Y ou may have to apply a bit of p ressure to slide the adapter all the way in.
2 Inst alling Adapter Driver Choose Install Driver&Utility If you are running Windows 2000 , please install the device by referring to the “ Installation Guide ” part of the User Guide on the included Resource CD. Note Y ou may see the Found Ne w Hardware Wizard when t he computer boots up.
3 Click Next Choose Install Driv er Onl y Click Next Follow the step-by-step instructions to finish the driver installation. If prompted to ‘The software has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify it s compatibility with Windows XP’, click Continue Anyway to continue.
4 Select your network by the network name Connecting to the Wireless Ro uter/Access Point After you have successfuly inst alled the driver software, the icon will appear on the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop.
5 1 Y ou have now successfully connected to you r wir ele ss ne two rk. If your network is an unsecured network, you will not be prompted to input the Network key .
6 Inst alling Adapter Driver Choose Install Driver&Utility Y ou may see the Fou nd New Hardware Wizard when the computer boots up. This is the default setup wizard of Windows Vista. For a sm oother installation, please click “Cancel” and insert the provided TP-LINK Re source CD .
7 Click Next Click Finish Follow the step-by-step instructions to finish the driver installation. If prompted to ‘Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver software’, click Inst all the driver software An yw ay to continue.
8 Connecting to the Wireless Ro uter/Access Point If the Wirless Router/Access Point supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) function, you are recommanded to use QSS (Quick Secure Setup) to quickly connect to your wireless network. Please refer to the Appendix Connecting to the Wireless Router by QSS .
9 Y ou have now successfully connected to your wireless network. If your network is an unsecured network, you will not be prompted to input the Network key .
10 Inst alling the QSS Driver Follow the step-by-step instructions to finish the QSS installation. Click Install QSS Click Finish.
11 Connecting to the Wirel ess Router Double click the icon on the desktop to open the QSS Utility , and this page will display . Click Next Select Enter the PIN from m y access point Input the PIN pr.
12 W ait for the Adapter to connect to the Wireless Router . Click Finish to complete the connection. Click Finish.
